This Privacy Policy explains what information the Bloomind mobile app ("Bloomind", "the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Bloomind is available on Android and iOS.
In short: we collect only what we need to run the app and to understand how it is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we never send the content of your notes to analytics.
Bloomind is developed and operated by an independent developer based in Montenegro, who is the controller of your personal data. You can reach us at banmarkovic@gmail.com.
You sign in to Bloomind with Google or Apple. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password. When you sign in, we receive and store:
We use this to create and identify your account, keep you signed in and sync your data across devices.
This content is stored on our servers so that you can access it from any device where you sign in.
To run Play mode, spaced repetition, the daily challenge and your streak, we store your answers to notes in Play mode, each note's review schedule, when notes were last reviewed, your daily challenge progress and your streak. We use your device's time zone so that your "day" starts and ends at your local midnight.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, for example where new users get stuck and whether people come back, so we can improve Bloomind. Firebase Analytics collects:
Analytics never includes the text of your notes, your search terms, your name or your email address. We do not collect advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), and analytics data is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
If you choose to dictate a note, Bloomind asks for microphone permission and uses your device's built-in speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS) to turn your speech into text. Bloomind does not record or store audio. The speech recognition provider may process your voice according to its own privacy policy (Google, Apple). Only the resulting text is placed in your note.
The app stores some data locally on your device: your sign-in token, your recently used hashtags (for suggestions), and simple app settings such as whether you have completed onboarding. This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Like most online services, our servers keep short-lived technical logs of requests (for example the time, the requested address and whether it succeeded) to keep the service secure and working. These logs do not contain the content of your notes.

We may also disclose information if required by law or a valid request from public authorities, to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the app. In the last case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses used by these providers.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing (including processing based on our legitimate interests, such as analytics), and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email banmarkovic@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Information is sent between the app and our servers over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access to our servers and database is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.
Bloomind is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know in the app.
